Application Requirements

Applicants seeking admission to the University of Western California (UWC) must submit the following documents:

  1. Completed Application Form for admission.

  2. Official Certificate notarized by the Foreign Affairs Office.

  3. Certified Copy of University Transcript notarized by the Foreign Affairs Office.

  4. Embassy Approval to enroll in study (including faculty, academic year, and academic degree).

  5. Photocopy of Passport.

  6. Three Recent Passport-Size Photographs.

  7. Supporting Bank Statement (for U.S. Residency Status).

  8. Affidavit of Financial Support (for U.S. Residency Status).

  9. IELTS/TOEFL Certificate — minimum score required:

    • TOEFL iBT: 45

    • TOEFL CBT: 450

    • IELTS: 5.5

  10. Updated Curriculum Vitae / Resume

Registration Process

Each semester, current students are required to register for classes for the following semester.

The registration process at the University of Western California (UWC) includes the following steps:

  1. Academic Advising

    • A meeting with a faculty or staff advisor.

    • Required for some majors, optional for others.

  2. Class Registration

    • Registering for classes online through the university system.

  3. Tuition & Fees

    • Paying the tuition and fee bill or confirming attendance to finalize enrollment.

Registering for Classes

You’ve done your homework — now it’s time to select and register for your classes.


Finishing Registration

Complete the process:

  • Pay your tuition and fees.

  • Finalize any remaining requirements to ensure your registration is complete.

Important Registration Guidelines

  • No Automated Software:
    The university strictly prohibits the use of vendor software or automated programs to register, add, or drop classes.

    • Violations may result in being blocked from registration.


Student ID Card

  • Get Your UWC Student ID:

    • Location: ID Center, ground floor of the Flawn Academic Center (FAC).

    • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

    • Requirements: Bring a valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or passport).

    • Cost: $10 (payable within one month). Payment can be made at Main 8 Cashiers or online via What I Owe.

  • Continuing Students:
    Do not need to visit the ID Center each semester. The magnetic strip on the ID card is automatically validated once the semester’s tuition is paid.
